SSI wins new contract with KCADeutag in Baku, Azerbaijan.

SSI are pleased to announce they have recently been awarded a major contract with KCAD for the Provision of Tubular Inspection, repair, storage and associated services in Baku, Azerbaijan. The contract involves the inspection, maintenance & repairs of all tubulars for the KCAD drilling rigs located in the Caspian Sea.

SSI have established themselves as a major OCTG Inspection company in the Caspian Region and have been successfully operating in the Caspian environment now for in excess of 6 years. Furthermore, we have extensive experience with quality tubular inspection and management services around the world in accordance with leading drilling industry & BP standards, such as API, TH Hill, NS1/2, GIS, & DEIP. We provide a “one stop shop” facility for the reclamation and tubular management of customers oil field country tubular goods from receipt, inspection, refurbishment, re-machining, storage and inventory control.

SSI are in the process of designing and developing a new “state of the art” inspection facility to accommodate KCAD and BP‘s requirements. The layout of the yard and facility is being designed and engineered by a Qualified UK Architectural Company, David Murray & Associates. The new facility will also include a Machine Shop for the repair of the tubular goods in house and will accommodate the latest “best Practices” techniques, methodologies, and equipment used in the industry.

SSI have engaged a local based Engineering / Construction Company who will act as the SSI Construction / Project Manager to assist with the construction of the yard in accordance with the time frame and project schedule. The actual works will be conducted by an experienced and qualified approved local building Company, who can meet with the necessary Quality, Compliance standards, and forecasted completion schedules.

The new facility is scheduled to be up and running by early next year.
